I don’t collect Star Wars action figures. I used to a long time ago. Even though I haven’t collected Star Wars stuff in years, I still like to walk down the action figure aisle to see what’s available.
From what I’ve been noticing lately, I think if I were to start collecting Star Wars action figures again, I’d focus on collecting only Black characters. The reason? Black Star Wars characters seem a lot easier to find at retail. Case in point, the Lando Calrissian figure seen below.
I took the picture at my local Target. The store had three (3) Lando Calrissian figures and nothing else. It looked like everyone bypassed the Lando figures to buy the other figures. The end result is Lando Calrissian hangs alone.

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen something like this. I’ve seen something similar with Moff Gideon and Greef Karga action figures too. They seem to always be the last action figures on the pegs.
If you’re going to collect Star Wars action figures, why run all over town looking for the new figures before anyone else finds them? Just relax and go Star Wars action figure hunting when it’s convenient for you.
When it comes to buying collectible junk you don’t need, why not take the path of least resistance? It’s not like these characters are lesser characters.
In my opinion, Moff Gideon was the best new character to be introduced in the Star Wars live-action universe. Yes, that includes the small green pervert everyone called “Baby Yoda.”
I hated that character. He was annoying, sexist, and disgusting.
I probably won’t ever collect Star Wars action figures again. If I do, I’ll only focus on the Black characters.
